A wonderful, tiny sized, genuine antique transforming cross / magical orb pendant, dating from the early 1900's. Made of a solid 9 karat gold frame and outer with gilded solid silver interior, it has four separately hinged gold arms, each one hand engraved and with trefoil terminals, which open out individually to allow the hidden cross inside to be revealed!
It's made up of six gilded silver pyramids - every face of each pyramid finely engraved with enigmatic masonic symbols, like the skull, the moon, the set square etc.
It's an excellent small size at 11 mm diameter and weighs a lovely 3.57 grams, and looks just amazing on a chain. It's in lovely, lightly worn and fully working condition and is marked '9ct & Sil' to warrant the precious metal. If you have any any questions reach out.
